It is important
to keep your room temperature below 80 degrees with your bed
running. This is not just for comfort for your customer. I have run
into cases where a customer's gas shocks have wanted to open the bed
because the gas inside is getting warmer and trying to expand.
Also heat can
cause your face tanners to kick on and off. Each of our face tanners
have a thermostat on the side to kick the lamp off if it gets too
hot. Your customers may experience the lights going off and on if
this happens. Finally the increased temperature can cause in
increase in amp draw and begin to trip breakers in extreme
circumstances.
If you notice
any symptoms such as these, you will want to check the way air is
flowing through each of your rooms. Make sure you have an easy way
for the hot air to escape the tanning room. AC vents coming into the
room are a good way to keep the room cool, but you want to make sure
that the cold air coming into the room doesn’t get in the way of the
hot air escaping. Cold air coming out of a vent right above the bed
can actually push the hot air back down towards the bed. This same
effect can happen from a ceiling fan. Ceiling fans aren’t bad as
long as you have a way to get the hot air out of the
room.
If you are
designing a new salon a little bit of planning ahead cause your
salon to run a lot smoother and a lot more
comfortable.
