Replacing Face Tanner Lamps

When replacing your face tanner lamps, it is very important that they are installed properly. You want to be sure they are put in straight so that each end of the lamp is making a good connection to each of the metal contacts on the lamp holders. Incorrect alignment can cause an arc of power to occur which can shorten the service life of the lamp as well as cause cracking and pitting of the porcelain lamp holders.

Also, when replacing the lamps it’s important that you do not get any oil from your fingers on the lamp itself. This can create a hotspot on the lamp and cause it to overheat and burst. When changing the lamps you can either wear rubber gloves or have a cloth nearby to wipe the lamp off if you accidentally touch the glass.
